Powel Gardens Missouri - Spring 2022
Fortopia was an outdoor exhibit installation at Powel Gardens during the spring of 2022. A series of 8 ‘forts’ were selected via a public submission design contest. We then redesigned and built the forts into something that was accessible, buildable and durable with the input from the original submitters.
We then constructed them on site over the course of about 2 weeks.
The Pirate Ship was an idea submitted by a local kindergarten class. For expediency it was built using plans available from PaulsPlayhouses.com. All other installations were re-designed by myself and constructed by our carpentry staff.
