Kansas City Symphony - November 2023
Designed and constructed for a KC Symphony special event, These ‘kaleidoscope’ table are based on the whimsical cardboard kaleidoscopes of patrons memory.
The internal light and frosted glass top creates an opportunity for audience members to create colorful patterns from cut triangles of lighting gel.
Constructed with bendable plywood over a CNC cut plywood frame, the tables can be split in half to fit through a doorway, and are lit from below by battery powered well lights.
This was an unusual project that, do to staffing limitations, I ended up executing almost entirely on my own.
