Phase 2 Room, BRK Through Overland Park, KS - 2023
The Original BRK Through in Overland Park, KS was built as a prototype. Not everything we initially installed there correctly anticipated the level of abuse from patrons.
Shooting star is a soccer based game, where players hit lighted targets with a kicked soccer ball. The original cable and ring based target structure was not up to the rigors of the game, and was replaced with this new structure designed to be ‘Indestructible’.
Fabricated as a CNC cut Kit of parts, the replacement wall was shop assembled, wired, and tested, before being installed in the existing room in 2 hours. Custom signal converters where created added to allow the new 12v PNP industrial sensors to work with in place of the original 5v NPN sensors without reprogramming.
Overall design and art direction of this room was done by myself, based on concept art provided by the client.
Architectural Design, Mechanical Design, and Fabrication Design done by myself. Final Programming and network integration done by Prison Island staff based on my initial code.
