This was an amusing quicky project.
During the 2023 NFL Draft, we got a call asking if we could make a giant 2 sided coin that the Kelcy Brothers mother could flip on stage with the Dude Perfect YouTube stars… And then needed it done by 8am the next morning.
Because of the limited time, and most of our fabrication capacity already tied up on other short term draft related projects, we opted for a strategy using layered adhesive backed laser cut material, coated in rhino liner and painted.
Working under my direction, Carina White prepared the artwork of the faces while I negotiate for machine time and designed the physical layout and components.
The overall result was a heavyweight durable coin whos deep shadows looked awesome on camera.
The comedic sketch it was used in was a bit… cringeworthy.
