Michael Curry is the designer behind the creations of the Kansas City Kit Company.
An Architect by training with a degree from Cornell University. Michael spent the first years of his career with the Kansas City architecture firm Populous, designing and building sports venues around the world.
Michael joined MakerBot Industries in 2011 as their first full time designer. He started the MakerBot Design Studio with the mission to evangelizing MakerBot’s products and vision for the future of 3D printing. The Design Studio was responsible for all public facing 3D design content created by the company.
Michael is a master at design for desktop manufacturing, and has a life long had a fascination with kits, assemblies, and creation. He believes design is a collaborative process, best done as a dialogue between interested and passionate people.
