This set of customized Ribbon Cutting Scissors was built for the opening of the new MakerBot Factory in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. 

We used blades steel blades taken from a basic set of ribbon cutting scissors and 3d Print our own custom handles based on the electronic circuitry found on a MakerBot's motherboard.
