Startup Bus - 2015
After leaving Formlabs, I joined friends participating in the 2015 edition of ‘Startup Bus’. I when in with minimal expectations and ended up having fun in what essentially was a startup themed version of space camp for adults.
Our produce was a speculative creation based on the newly available ‘NODE MCU’ modules based on the ESP82. The idea was to create a mesh network between different classes of items (Motors, switches, lights,ect) then let allow the connections inputs and outputs to be established using an ios app. It was all very ‘Startup’ in the typical hand waving kind of way.
We did actually get a prototype version of the hardware working the the three days I had before our first pitch. Fun project, great people, silly to think back on how it was basically summer camp for people in their mid 30’s.
